As 2024 winds down, it’s a good moment to reflect on what this year has meant for all of us at OLSOM. It has been a year of learning, growth, and discovering new ways to help our partners succeed. From launching new products to tackling fresh challenges, here’s a look at what we’ve accomplished—and where we’re headed next.
Industry Recognition: Delivering Excellence
This September, OLSOM’s AGW Optimization received the “Best Of” Badge by Software Advice in the Customer Support category. This recognition shows our dedication to providing reliable and effective support whenever our customers need us.
Maksym Liashenko, Director of Services:
What truly enhances the power of the AGW product is the top-tier support and services we provide. Our dedicated team ensures smooth implementation, ongoing optimization, and responsive troubleshooting, creating a seamless experience for clients at every stage.
The integration of a robust product and personalized services has been a game-changer in 2024. We’re excited to continue this success into 2025, delivering balanced, high-quality solutions to our customers worldwide.”
Making AGW Better: Always Improving for Today’s Manufacturing
In 2024, we worked on making our AGW MES better to meet the evolving needs of our customers. We kicked off the year by releasing the AGW 2023.02 update, which introduced new features designed to increase productivity, enhance user experience, and improve integration capabilities. Key highlights included updates to Work Instructions for better usability and enhanced customization options, allowing users to tailor their AGW environment to their specific workflows.
And we’re excited to close out the year with the launch of the AGW 2024.01 Release, which brings important updates like the Training Module. This module simplifies qualification management and skill development, making it easier to prepare your workforce. Additionally, this release enhances efficiency, strengthens security, and ensures workflows are more adaptive than ever, providing dynamic solutions to meet evolving operational needs.

OLSOM LMS: Empowering Learning and Growth
We took a big step forward by refining OLSOM LMS, our Learning Management System. This platform is all about promoting growth and knowledge-sharing, making it easier for our customers and partners to get the most out of our solution!
Engaging with the Manufacturing Community
This year, OLSOM contributed to industry conversations through features in Manufacturing Digital and Production Manager magazine, as well as by attending events such as the Rockwell Automation Fair 2024, the Assembly Show South, and the Southern Technology and Supply Chain Conference in Georgia. These events allowed us to engage with industry leaders, connect with local communities, and gain valuable insights into the latest advancements shaping the future of manufacturing.
In addition, we conducted two insightful webinars with seasoned industry experts that addressed important challenges facing the manufacturing sector:
- AI in Manufacturing: Emerging Opportunities or New Challenges for Data Acquisition.
- Navigating Manufacturing IT Architectures: On-Premises, Cloud, or Hybrid?
To wrap up 2024 and look ahead to 2025, we asked our leadership team to share their thoughts on key trends, achievements, and lessons from the year. Here’s what they had to say:
What achievement from 2024 makes you most proud of our team and company?
Maksym Liashenko, Director of Services:
There are several highlights from this year that stand out: delivering complex projects faster than ever, launching large-scale automation projects across North America, and introducing the refined OLSOM LMS to empower our customers. But what I’m most proud of is how we’ve grown and structured our team to become more agile, innovative, and ready to meet the demands of increasingly complex projects.
Oleksandr Serogin, Director of Engineering:
Receiving the ‘Best Of’ Badge in the Customer Support category was a proud moment for our team.
Olexander Kryvets, Head of Customer Success:
This year, OLSOM expanded into a new industry, taking on a challenging project in the electrical products sector. From the initial phases, we built a strong relationship with the customer, collaborating closely during on-site workshops and training sessions. Despite a tight timeline, the project was successfully implemented and validated, going live as planned. It’s rewarding to see the system delivering value to the customer’s operations.
Behind every achievement this year is our awesome team. Their dedication, creativity, and collaboration have been the foundation of everything we’ve accomplished.
Oksana Rudenko, Head of HR:
We accept our weaknesses (the expert in anything was once a beginner, right?), and we lift people by learning how to be encouragers, not critics. In this way, we manifest our core value—Support.
2024 has been a dynamic year for manufacturing—what trends stood out, and how will they shape 2025?
Yuri Pilipenko, CEO:
We’re seeing a divide between regions with high and low workforce costs. High-cost regions focus on autonomous factories with AI and automation, while lower-cost regions emphasize optimization, defect prevention, and workforce education. Both trends point to the growing importance of AI and data-driven manufacturing. In 2025, we’ll see more autonomous factories take shape, though full adoption will take time.
Oleksandr Serogin, Director of Engineering:
Edge computing is a key trend, enabling real-time AI analysis for optimization and predictive maintenance. Cybersecurity is another major focus, with zero-trust architectures and AI-powered threat detection gaining traction. As we head into 2025, data-driven decision-making will shape the industry even further.
Maksym Liashenko, Director of Services:
Smart manufacturing and IoT are enabling real-time insights, while AI continues to drive predictive analytics and automation. Sustainability is also becoming a priority, with businesses exploring green technologies. Cybersecurity remains critical as interconnected systems grow. The future of manufacturing is definitely smart, connected, and data-driven.
Olexander Kryvets, Head of Customer Success:
Businesses are investing heavily in data analytics, creating dedicated teams to analyze production data and improve processes. This shift is driving a move from local storage to centralized, cloud-based solutions, making data easier to access and leverage. AI is evolving rapidly, and while it’s not yet fully mature, it’s clear that we need to be part of this transformation.
Looking Ahead: What’s next for OLSOM in 2025?
Yuri Pilipenko, CEO:
In 2025, we’ll focus on maturing our product, making it more reliable and user-friendly. Our services will also evolve to include smarter solutions like auditing, consulting, and training. I’m particularly excited that we are already on an AI journey and thrilled about strengthening our products and services with powerful AI-driven features, which will open up new possibilities for OLSOM and our customers.
Oksana Rudenko, Head of HR:
With belief in change and transformation: the time about standing still is over.
Thank You
To our customers, partners, and everyone at OLSOM—thanks for being part of this amazing ride. Your faith in us and teamwork pushes us to do better. Here’s to a great 2025 together!
