Head of Business Development

Full-Time / Remote / USA

 Requirements: 

  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing operations within discrete industries such as automotive, aerospace, electronics, machinery, etc. 
  • Deep understanding of production processes and LEAN manufacturing principles and frameworks. 
  • Practical experience with manufacturing IT ecosystems and applications: MES, ERP, SCADA, APS, CMMS, WMS. 
  • Experience in launching new business functions. 
  • Ability to identify process gaps and tailor solutions to address them. 
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, self-driven, and highly result-oriented. 
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. 
  • Willingness to attend international conferences, trade shows, and in-person client meetings. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Build, lead, and mentor the business development team. 
  • Collaborate with the CEO and Marketing to develop value-driven communication. 
  • Establish and continuously improve scalable, data-driven sales processes. 
  • Manage direct B2B sales cycles – from initial contact to contract closure 
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities through inbound, outbound, and partnership channels. 
  • Conduct strategic negotiations and close enterprise-level deals with international clients. 
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, adapting strategies to achieve growth objectives. 
  • Maintain accurate CRM documentation of all leads, deals, and sales activities. 
  • Represent OLSOM at international industry events, exhibitions, and conferences. 
  • Personally drive key strategic and high-value sales opportunities.
